Climate Anxiety? The remedy is coming together in action
Climate change is now a reality. There is no denying that we are already facing a climate emergency. In Kuwait City, temperatures are reaching 54C and birds are falling out of the sky. The city is fast becoming uninhabitable and others will soon follow. It’s terrifying.
When we face up to the truth about the climate emergency, it’s natural that it will be overwhelming and distressing. Climate anxiety is a real thing for young and old. The future is bleak. A fear of what the future will look like for their grandchildren was one of the motivating factors for Andy and Helen Redfern when founding Green Heart Collective. They’ve found that the remedy for their climate anxiety is joining with others to take meaningful action.
Creating this social enterprise with sustainability at its heart has relied on the support and help of like-minded people locally and across the country.
